  1. Systematics and evolution of some groups in Rosaceae, Ranunculaceae, Berberidaceae and Nyssaceae, using an integration of phylogenomics, phylogenetic, biogeographic and molecular dating methods.

  2. Floral morphology, morphogenesis and evolution of some genera (especially for genera endemic to China) in Rosaceae, Ranunculaceae, Berberidaceae and Nyssaceae.
